Clinical sessions may conclude with a post-conference, during which time is usually spent sharing learning experiences.During the pre-conference, general instructions may be given and the student is assisted to plan or meet individual client needs. The clinical laboratory experience may begin with a pre-conference.Individual instructors, prior to each clinical rotation, give specific instructions regarding preparation for scheduled clinical lab sessions.Each instructor destroys anecdotal notes at the end of each semester after all "clinical evaluation" conferences are completed and grades are posted. The instructor’s "anecdotal notes" relating to an individual student are available to that student in the nursing instructor’s office.As opportunity permits, clinical instructors facilitate student responsibility for learning, encouraging, or requiring such activities as student participation in the selection of learning experiences, sharing of personal learning goals, keeping a record of skills and evaluation of one’s own clinical performance. ![]() The clinical laboratory session is a learning opportunity where the student is expected to utilize all resources to extend the learning experience.Students may be assigned to day or evening clinical rotations, both during the week and on weekends. Students should therefore not schedule a work assignment on a clinical day. This instruction is provided in various locations, such as on campus, at local hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other community facilities.īecause of limited clinical placements, it is not possible to assign a student specific clinical time or locations due to work assignments. Coordinating Clinical Experience with Hospital Nursing ServiceĬlinical instruction is provided throughout the program in conjunction with classroom theory.Candidates can carry water bottles without labels. Only admission card, ID proof, 2 passport size photographs (same as on application form) are allowed. Wallets, goggles, belts, caps, accessories, cameras and ornaments will not be allowed. Stationery like pencil, paper, eraser, scales, geometry box, calculator and log tables are also prohibited. Prohibited items: Mobile phones, pen drives, earphones, microphones, bluetooth devices and wristwatches are not permitted inside the examination hall The candidates have been advised to take extra precautions in reaching the examination centre before the scheduled time and be present there at least one hour before. ![]() The admission ticket can be downloaded from February 28, on the KEA website. Low-heel footwear is allowed.įemale candidates must avoid wearing any kind of jewellery like earrings. It has been advised to avoid high heels and thick sole shoes and instead, opt for sandals or slippers. ![]() Male candidates are not supposed to wear any jewels around the neck, ears, finger rings and bracelets.įor female candidates, clothes with elaborate embroidery, flowers, broaches or buttons are not allowed.Ĭlothes with full arm-length sleeves should not be worn. It is advisable that candidates wear sandals/slippers with a thin sole. Shoes are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. While trousers and simple pants are a preferred dress code, kurta pyjamas will not be allowed. No full-sleeve shirts will be allowed. Clothes with zip pockets, pockets, big buttons and clothes with elaborate embroidery should be avoided.
